Permits in Stonebrook, Moore, OK — Contractor Guide

Stonebrook is a newer Moore residential subdivision built largely after the 2014 wind-load amendments. Most homes here were constructed under the current Moore standards: 135 mph design wind, continuous load path, hurricane clips at every truss connection, six-nail roof fastener pattern, and 135 mph rated garage doors.

Permit activity in Stonebrook is currently low-volume — homes are still in their first decade and major remodel demand has not yet built up. Most permits are pool installations, fence work, accessory structures, and the occasional storm shelter retrofit on homes that did not include a built-in shelter.

Because most Stonebrook homes were built to current standards, additions tying into existing structure typically have less complexity than additions in older neighborhoods. The continuous load path is already in place; the addition designer simply continues it.
