The Usage screen shows what your workspace spent in credits and where it went, so you can see what Sanaf's work is costing and what to change.
Open it from Settings > Usage. Use Window at the top right to look at the Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days. The window applies to every tab. The Billing button beside it takes you to Billing.
Overview
The Overview tab answers the main questions in order.
- Credits left: your balance, and a sentence saying about how many days it lasts at the pace of the last week. A pill shows whether Automatic top-up is on or off, with a button to buy credits or open Billing.
- Worth a look: up to three notes, shown only when something deserves attention. For example, that your credits will run out soon, that spending is up on the period before, that one routine uses a large share of your credits, or that one piece of work cost far more than usual. Each note has a button to act on it where one applies.
- Credits spent: the total for the window, compared with the same length of time before it.
- Conversations and scheduled and background runs: how many of each, about how much each one cost, and their share of the spend.
- Credits by day: a chart that splits each day into conversations and scheduled work.
- What the credits bought: the spend grouped by the kind of work, such as Thinking and replying, Remembering and recalling, Working in your apps, Work on its own computer, Images, voice and video, and Pages and spaces.
- Who asked the most and Scheduled work that cost the most: select a name or a routine to see its runs.
All figures are in credits. Usage never shows dollar costs.
Team
The Team tab lists each member with their role, how many runs they started, the credits used and their share. Credits count against the person who started the conversation. Scheduled work is not here; it is under Tasks.
Activity
The Activity tab lists every conversation and scheduled run that cost credits, newest first. Filter it by Users, by Tasks, or by the kind of activity (Conversations or Scheduled tasks).
Each row shows what the work was, who asked, the credits used and when. A row marked Settling has not been fully counted yet. A conversation from the console chat links straight to it. Slack, Teams and email threads are not linked, because they live in those apps.
Tasks
The Tasks tab lists routines, one-off tasks and Sanaf's own housekeeping, with how many times each ran, the credits used, A month at this pace and when it last ran. A paused routine is marked Paused.
Spend less
- If a routine does the same thing every time, ask Sanaf to turn it into a script. The Worth a look note points this out when a routine uses a large share of your credits.
- Long documents, images, video and time on Sanaf's own computer are what make work expensive.
