The Teach Sanaf screen is where you tell Sanaf how your business works and check what it has taken in.
Telling it in chat works too
Everything on this screen can also be said to Sanaf in Slack, Teams or the console chat, and that is usually quicker. For example: "Remember that we never text a customer after 8pm." The screen is where you can see what it took in, correct a line that is wrong, and write longer standing instructions.
Tell it something
- Open Teach Sanaf in the left rail.
- In Tell it something, type one rule in your own words, for example "We never text a customer after 8pm." A rule can be up to 500 characters.
- Select Teach it.
The rule applies to everyone in the workspace, and Sanaf starts using it on its next reply. It shows up under What it has picked up, marked kept for good, and the work log notes that a person wrote it down.
What it knows
The What it knows card lists what Sanaf currently holds true about your business, newest first, with the date it learned each one. A line marked the whole workspace knows this has been shared across the workspace.
If something is wrong or out of date, select No longer true. The line keeps its place in the record, and Sanaf stops acting on it.
What it has picked up
The What it has picked up card lists the other things Sanaf has kept: how you like things done, corrections, promises with a date, and lessons it learned by trying. Most of what is said in a conversation is not kept. Sanaf keeps what it is told to keep, and once a night it keeps the few other things worth remembering.
Some lines carry a label:
- private to a person: Sanaf only uses it when talking with that person.
- one conversation: it only applies in the conversation it came from.
- kept for good: it does not fade over time.
Select Forget this to delete a line. Forgetting removes it for good, and the work log keeps a note of what was forgotten.
Standing instructions and skills
Further down the same screen:
- How it should work holds Sanaf's full instructions, the standing description of its job. See Write Sanaf's instructions.
- What it has learned to do lists Sanaf's skills. Select All skills to manage them.
Who can change things
Anyone in the workspace can view this screen. Only an owner or an admin can teach Sanaf a rule, mark something as no longer true, forget a line or edit the instructions.
