This article explains what Sanaf keeps between conversations and how to hand it the material about your business that it should read before it answers.
What Sanaf remembers
Sanaf does not keep everything that is said. It remembers:
- Rules and facts you tell it, in chat or on the Teach Sanaf screen.
- A few things worth keeping from its conversations, such as a correction, how you like things done, or a promise with a date. It decides what is worth keeping as it works, and again in a review once a night.
- Things only for you. Say something like "remember that I like short summaries" and Sanaf can keep it for you alone. It then uses it only when it is talking with you, and it shows on Teach Sanaf marked private to you.
You can see and correct all of this on Teach Sanaf. To remove something, select Forget this there, or ask Sanaf in chat to forget it. Only an owner or an admin can have it forget something that applies to the whole workspace.
When Sanaf is told the same thing about the business in two different conversations, or is corrected once, it can become something the whole workspace knows. It then appears on the Your business screen.
The Your business screen
Open Settings, then Your business. Everything here is shared by the whole team, and only an owner or an admin can change it.
About the business
Ten short answers Sanaf reads before every reply, such as What the business does, Hours, Tone with customers and Who may approve money. Some are marked (optional). Fill them in and select Save. Once Sanaf has read your material, it may suggest some answers. A suggestion is marked "Suggested from what Sanaf read" and only becomes yours when you save it.
What your team has learned
Things Sanaf has worked out about the business on its own, with where each one came from. Select Forget to remove one.
Needs you to settle
This card appears only when Sanaf has heard two different things about the same subject. Pick Sanaf is right to accept the new version, or Keep what the team knows.
Your business library
The What Sanaf has read card holds the material you give Sanaf, the way you would hand a new colleague your website, price list and handbook. Sanaf looks here before answering questions about the business, and says where an answer came from.
You can add three kinds of material:
- Your website: type the address and select Read the website. Sanaf reads up to 25 pages from the same site. When the site changes, select Read again.
- Documents: select Upload documents. PDF, Word, text, Markdown or CSV files, up to 10 MB each, such as price lists, service menus, policies or FAQs. A scanned PDF with no text in it cannot be read, and Sanaf tells you so.
- A note: give it a title, such as "Refund policy", write the text, and select Add the note.
Each item shows Reading… while Sanaf works through it, then Read, or Could not read with the reason. Select Remove to take an item out of the library.
If you are not sure where to start, start with your website. It is usually the quickest way to teach Sanaf what you do, where and for how much.
