The Files screen keeps every file Sanaf has made or been handed, so you can find it again without scrolling back through a chat.
What ends up here
- Files Sanaf made: charts, reports, documents, images, spreadsheets, exports and audio clips it handed back while working.
- Files people sent it: anything someone attached in a conversation with Sanaf. These are marked received.
Files Sanaf made are marked with their kind, such as chart, document, image, data or file.
Open or download a file
- Open Files in the left rail, under What it keeps.
- Find the file. The newest are at the top, and each row shows the title, the file name, its size and when it was made.
- Select the title to open it, or the download icon beside it to save it.
The list shows the 100 most recent files. Only people signed in to your workspace can open them from here.
Getting a file in the first place
Ask Sanaf for what you need where you already talk to it, for example "Make a bar chart of last month's sales by week" or "Turn this into a one-page PDF report". Sanaf posts the file in the conversation, and it also lands on the Files screen.
In Slack, Sanaf uploads the file into the thread. If your workspace installed Sanaf before file uploads were allowed, you get a link instead, until Sanaf is reinstalled. In Microsoft Teams, an image shows in the reply and other files come as a link.
How long files are kept
Files are kept until their retention date and are then removed automatically. If you need a file for good, download it and keep your own copy.
Files, pages and spaces
The Files screen is for files. Two other screens in the same part of the rail hold other things Sanaf makes:
- Pages holds web pages Sanaf published, such as a report you open by link.
- Spaces holds small live sites and apps Sanaf built.
