This article covers the Chat screen, where you talk to Sanaf in the console instead of in Slack or Teams.
When to use it
Most teams talk to Sanaf in Slack or Teams, where they already work. The console chat is useful before Sanaf is in either, or when you want a longer conversation in the browser. It is the same Sanaf, with the same apps, instructions and approvals.
Start a chat
- Open Chat at the top of the left rail.
- Type in the box that says Message Sanaf (it shows your employee's name).
- Press Enter to send. Press Shift and Enter for a new line.
A new chat offers a few openers based on the apps you have connected and the skills Sanaf has. Press one to use it, or write your own.
While Sanaf works, you see what it is doing. To stop it, press Stop or the Esc key.
Attach files
Press Attach files to add files to a message. You can also paste them into the box. You can attach up to 5 files to one message, up to 25 MB each.
Answer Sanaf's questions
When Sanaf needs a yes before it acts, a card appears in the chat headed Sanaf is waiting on you. It says what Sanaf wants to do and why it is asking. Depending on the action, you can choose:
- Send it: go ahead this once.
- Yes, for this chat: go ahead with this kind of action for the rest of this chat.
- Always allow this: stop asking about this action.
- Not this time: do not do it now.
- Never allow this: never do it.
Some choices are not offered for some actions. Spending money, for example, is always asked about.
Manage your chats
- The list on the right shows your chats, each named after its first message. Press New chat to start another.
- Open a chat and press Archive to move it out of the list. Archived chats at the bottom of the list shows them, and Unarchive brings one back.
